Wendy joined IML in 1999 and has worked in the events industry for 25 years. She is a real ‘problem solver’ by nature and is invaluable in all aspects of logistics and organisation. In line with the growth of the business, she has been instrumental in creating scalable systems and processes to ensure the kit and crew are organised efficiently and reliably. She leads a team of Project Coordinators and Store Technicians dedicated to managing the requirements of ongoing projects.
What gets you in to work with a spring in your step?
My team and the desire to deliver successful events.
Most memorable event?
The most challenging and memorable time was during the ash cloud in 2010 as it involved getting people and equipment to and from their events with no planes! Amazingly, all the meetings went ahead as planned.
When I’m not contending with ash clouds, airline delays, misplaced equipment and corrupt customs officials, I love the outdoor life and I’m passionate about horse riding and walking with my dogs.
