Proud to be shortlisted for a C&IT award

We are seeing July out in style at Crystal, celebrating being shortlisted for a C&IT Award for our recent work with E.ON.
The Conference and Incentive Travel Awards are the definitive awards for B2B events and we have been shortlisted for ‘Best Use of Technology’ for an internal event for E.ON’s Digital Communications team in Düsseldorf in January 2019.
The event brought together almost 700 of E.ON’s team, 479 at Boui Boui Bilk in Düsseldorf with an additional 200 colleagues joining via streamed sessions from 7 different countries. The two-day event featured 30 guest speakers, an address by E.ON’s Chief Executive Officer, breakout sessions and an evening of networking.
Using Event Technology to Transform E.ON’s All-Hands Meeting
E.ON wanted to create an experience that encouraged networking and collaboration, in a more engaging, immersive manner that suited the audience and reflected the technical nature of the event. We proposed something which had never been done before by the client. We recommended our Smart Wearables and engagement platform, which transformed the meeting at every stage, from the registration process, to easing logistical challenges, encouraging networking and making connections, gamification, team building and content gathering.
The event was an overwhelming success and surpassed E.ON’s expectations. The event ran seamlessly; results gathered from the engagement platform showed 21,479 connections were made at the event. Post event feedback showed attendees came away from the event feeling more confident in the leadership team and connected with one another.
Gordon Dowall-Potter, Digital Communications Lead for E.ON said of the event, “The wearable technology went down very well, everyone adopted and embraced it, including our CEO! Watching everyone clicking and connecting via the badges and having fun at the same time was great to see. As this was a digital technology event it was brilliant to try something innovative, that’s never been done before at E.ON. We were delighted with the results.”
C&IT Awards: Best Use of Technology Shortlist
On being shortlisted for the award, Marketing Manager, Richard Shafe, said “We are delighted to have been shortlisted for the Best use of Technology Award for our work with E.ON - the team are really proud that their hard work and dedication on this project has been recognised. We are in fantastic company in the category, with projects for Google, Ericsson, Compass Group and Merck Healthcare among those shortlisted.
Our focus with all client projects is to tailor our blend of technology and expert on-site support to deliver on the specific objectives of their event, and the E.ON project is a great example of where we achieved exactly that. Working hand-in-hand with the client, we helped them design the use of technology in to every layer of the event, with each use having a clear purpose, from ice breaking, networking, gamification, information sharing, live Q&A and polling, exhibition content sharing, incentive and achieving personalised, paperless attendee journey management.
We are really proud to celebrate being shortlisted and look forward to the Award ceremony at the London Hilton Park Lane in September."
