Maximising audience engagement with Slido and klik
Over 90 event professionals joined us last week for our Audience Engagement Masterclass at the superb etc. venues Fenchurch Street. Delegates heard from guest speaker Abi Cannons, Key Relationship Manager at Slido, who shared some great tips on maximising audience engagement and were among the first people in the UK to experience klik’s state-of-the-art LED wearable technology.
Re-inventing the way we interact with klik
We were delighted to welcome Adekambi Laleye and the team from klik who showcased their smart wearable badges. Every delegate was given a personalised, interactive badge at registration which, in conjunction with an event app that guests had downloaded prior to the Masterclass, was used for networking, gamification and location intelligence throughout the morning.
Delegates were able to exchange contact details with their peers at the touch of a button using the klik badges and were able to view all their interactions, access the agenda, speaker profiles and informative content instantly via the event app on their smartphones.
Guests saw first-hand how the light up wearables can group participants by interest during the breakout session and enjoyed a light show to music to wrap things up!

Audience Engagement, what does it really mean?
Alongside our guest speakers Crystal Interactive MD, Chris Elmitt took to the stage to explain why engagement is important and how event technology can support this. He also offered some ideas on the topic based on engagement expert, Scott Gould’s, Ampersand Model. You can read more about this in our previous blog ‘Engage your audience at your next event’.
